It's because you have the old css (the file with the styles of this site, such as how images are displayed) in the cache of your browser, so some changes in the page aren't reflected in your browser because you're still using the old version of this file. I'll need to find out how to make the the visitors automatically reload the css, but in the meanwhile you can do it manually by refreshing the page or hitting F5.

Probably there are modules out there that can enable in-site PMs, but I think most people check their mails more often than this Web, so I haven't considered changing the current system (unless someone requests it).

That fanart is Chinese if I remember correctly, if it was based on a fanfic it's more likely it was a Chinese fanfic.
