Haru...
We need to implement a extra feature for the forums. I dont know if you saw, but I just deleted 37 posts by a website that was posted by an anon all over the forums. Can we make it so that anons have to type some kind of security code each time they post? Its not moron-proof but it would make things harder than just going to a place then copy-paste
Thanks for deleting the posts.
I just checked the logs and saw a bunch of spam posts from the same IP. I blocked the IP just in case, but that probably won't change anything. Also, CAPTCHA was already enabled for anonymous users, but I made it a bit more complicated now, I doubt this change will solve anything since spam bots seem to be able to read captcha images better than humans today, but we can hope.
EDIT: I installed a new AntiSpam module that looks pretty good, I hope it helps to prevent further spam.
The following might not be liked a lot, but, if this problem persists, it might be an idea to disable anonymous/unregistered posting.
Well we now have a new problem XD I tried posting something earlier but it seems to have been blocked. I could try swapping IPs but that might cause the automated system to block ALL my satellite IPs and then I wouldn't be able to post here period XD It says that the message will have to be approved by a moderator. Does that mean you are the only one who can do it? or if the rest of us can, how do we go about doing it? If needed, I could approve them seeing as I am as of lately, the most active of the "moderators", but even that would be limited to the times I check my e-mail or log on lolz. Either way I hope this message gets to you nya.
Upon further testing it seems to be a word limit. we can post small things like this but story updates and such are downright blocked nya
I was checking the logs and the good news are that the AntiSpam bot blocked a bunch of spam during the night, presumably made by the same bot that raided our site last night, but the bad news are that it seems it also blocked legitimate content.
I'm adjusting the settings while the bot learns what is spam and what is not, for the meanwhile I hope that this doesn't cause more problems to our users.
For Haru:
I just deleted another 20~ posts of spam. I think it has gotten to the point where anon postings need to be approved by one of us first before it can be posted. Sure that would cause a problem for those without accounts, but it should cut down on the spam a bit more. At least this way they will have to go through the trouble of MAKING an account in order to spam. That will also make it more controllable I think.
I see, thanks Alicia.
I want to avoid disabling anonymous comment or putting them in review queue at all costs. The anti spam have blocked a bunch of anonymous posts since yesterday, but it is not perfect yet it seems. Next time you see more spam please don't delete the posts, I would like to manually check them to configure the anti spam module in a better way.
I just had a little idea for the forum as well: how about a button/link where you can see all new posts for the whole board since the last login? Would help people like me who do not check the forum that often to see if they missed anything. Doing this per subforum is a bit tedious, even if there are currently only four of those.
Oh and, any way to close an opened spoiler?
Click the text/image inside the spoiler again and it should close.
Thanks for the feedback KannaRei.

Unfortunately that functionality is not natively supported for our forum, so we can't implement it.

Clicking the spoiled-text should close the box. At least it should work in FireFox and Internet Explorer.
EDIT: What Jokulhaup said =o
Excuse me A., but how do you put images/pics on the comment box?
(sorry, i'm new to this acctually)
