I've lost count of how many times it is now, but I'm rewatching the series again. XP

The only reason the Wolkenritter don't get to shine or get proper character development is because they're pushed aside to make room for 50 new characters and their slight, if any, backstory or just there just because. Why do you think all the new series have problems?

Q: Where am I?
A: Everywhere.

And that's why i had my hopes put on The MOVIE 2nd given that it covered the only part of the story where the Wolks had any relevance in the plot. Needless to say my pleas weren't answered.

So is there any word on what age the cast will be or just that it won't be the "middle school years".

Not middle school and not StrikerS timeline...Which leaves two possibilities. After StrikerS, or high school period. Hoping for the latter...

Also, I know this wont happen in a movie...But I'd kill for a Beach episode Ova. Too much untapped potential in the sex appeal department. And quite frankly, Vivid artist just doesn't do it for me.

Imagine how things could be if J.C.STAFF get the rights over the Nanoha TV series from 7arcs.

You would have at least one beach/onsen episode per season guaranteed xD

And Arisa will become a main character for no reason xD

Or it could be set before they go to middle school. The 2nd movie finished two years after the main events, making Nanoha, Fate and Hayate eleven. That would make them in their final year of elementary school. The 3rd movie could take place in the time the 2nd one left off.

A story set in high school might be good, but I'm not sure I'd want to begin the movie with another time skip. The time skip for StrikerS felt so awkward to me. But, I'll see how things play out.

I'd say that a pre-middle school story would make a lot of sense, as it's enough of a blank sheet in the normal timeline that they can do pretty much whatever they want and would fit well with everything that's been established in the movies.

I wonder if the setting for the movie will be Earth or Mid-Childa.

I think that would be the best option, because as you said, it does provide enough of a blank sheet for them to do what they want, and it would fit in with what's already been set up. I'm just intensely curious about what the title "Reflection" is referring to.

My first thought is the Materials. But I have a feeling that it's something less literal. Like the story could be told as a flashback of adult Nanoha "Reflecting" on the past or it could be Hayate and the Wolkenritter "Reflecting" on the events of MOVIE 2nd and trying to atone or whatnot. But until we get some actual information on the movie all this is just guesswork. They could have just chosen the title because they thought it sounded cool (although Nanoha usually has some sort of logic to it's naming).

I can't imagine the 3rd taking place after StrikerS, because that would mean it was continuing on from the series, and not the previous movies. That would be really confusing and disorienting. There's also many people who've only watched the movies, so that would be even more confusing.

The StrikerS manga already focused on events after the series, and then Force happened, so I doubt we'll get an after StrikerS movie.

Yeah I want nothing to do with a post-StrikerS movie. VIvid and Force destroyed the series enough for me, I don't want for them to continue that with the movies.

I think "Reflection" has no meaning within the movie. Knowing Tsuzuki, he just thought it had a nice ring to it and went with it.

it stated that it will have a new story and there won't be a recap of strikers nor it will have anything to do with vivid and force.

I keep hearing people say high school timeline. I thought none of them went to high school because they enlisted in the TSAB after middle school.

They can enlist into the TSAB and still go to school, afaik. Work and school is plausible. During the A's prologue they were clearly on their way to school.

Nanoha had her accident when she was 12 in a mission. Hayate and her knights had to work for the TSAB in order to atone for the crimes the Wolkenritter commited, Fate was already a Contract Mage in A's and Nanoha probably join them because she wanted to help others with her magic.

Er, I think I am a rather patient person but now I have to ask...
Does anyone actually know anything about the state of this project?
Was it pushed aside?
Abandoned?
Or maybe the TSAB actually exists and forbid the release of the 3rd movie because it revealed information people from Earth can't know about?

I tried looking for any info but all I could find is that maybe Nanoha's VA is retiring... Help?

I think the last time something about this movie was said was in 2013, which I find very odd. I wouldn't be surprised if it was unofficially canceled like Force, but the previous two movies were profitable, I can't imagine why they wouldn't want to make more.

They probably shifted focus to the Vivid anime.

The Vivid anime was outsourced to a different studio, A1, and apparently they didn't give it too much of a budget to work with, if the visual quality is something to go by.

Seven Arcs is the studio that does all the Nanoha things except for the latest animated series, I think they're supposed to not be so great either but both at least their movies look nice.
